16-02-19 This Freddie, he is nearly 3 yrs old and was rehomed almost two years ago now to a lady who is unable to keep him due to her change in circumstances. Freddie is a confused boy and has gone straight to his previous fosterer who has been working hard to resettle him and reassure him. She is making great progress as he arrived very insecure and unable to get on with her dogs but is now doing much better with them with support and guidance.
This chap is reaactive on a lead when he sees dogs but is easily correctable and is improving with time and consistency.
Freddie is clearly not the most straight forward dog and has been allowed to make his own rules rather than be shown good manners. He hasn't been socialised or walked much and he, just like any dog needs this to be able to make sense of the world. He is very unsure how he should behave so panics and makes the wrong choices and has previously resorted to biting to get his own way. For this reason he needs a home with no children and with someone who understands dogs and will show him gently, positively but very firmly how he can behave so he can hve the consistency and training he needs to help him be a better canine citizen and also relax him as he will know where he stands.
Freddie has a huge amount of positives too - this gorgeous boy can sit, give paw, spinand is very responsive. He wants to please you and brain work reallyhits a chord with him and helps him. He could turn his paw easily to a sport like agility.
He is desperate for someone to recognise his potential and give him the second chance he really deserves having been let down so badly. He needs time, patience, guidance, routine - we know it is a  big ask but he will repay your efforts a 100% and love you always.
Freddie would like to be homed as an only dog as he can be picky to what dogs he likes.

22-03-19 UPDATE

Freddie has come a long way from when he first arrived. He is now getting on better with the other dogs. Freddie has a lot if energy to burn of, he loves his walks and can do miles. Yesterday I took him to the local harbour town, this was the first time he had been round lots of people. He was such a good boy, walked nicely round the shops. Freddie needs someone who will take him to training classes to help socialise him, give him lots of exerice, be firm with him and not give up in him.

24-04-19 UPDATE

Freddie has been enjoying the Easter sunshine. He is a little sweetie 95% of the time. What Freddie doesn't like is to be challenged, so if he has something he shouldn't, we use something to distract him, if he does something wrong, we tell him to go to his crate, so having a crate is a must. He must also eat in a crate, as he can be food aggressive.
Freddie loves playing ball, but doesn't always want to drop it, so we use 2 balls.
So if you have the experience, and are up for some fun and games, Freddie would love to hear from you.

11-06-19 UPDATE

Well as you can see Freddie loves to do a bit of sun bathing, but being here in Wales he doesn't get to many chances to. So if you have better weather, Freddie would really like to hear from you, he's really not too keen on getting wet.

30-10-19 UPDATE

Freddie has come a long way. He still isn't perfect, but who is? Freddie needs someone who enjoys training, he is very active, loves to explore and will do anything for a treat. We are looking for someone who is dedicated and will stand by him no matter what. Freddie deserves his perfect home.

10-03-20 UPDATE

Poor Freddie still waits. We all live in hope that their is someone out there that has the experience to give freddie his dream home, which would ideally be a man ( he seems to listen better to men) that is either retired or semi retired, that loves to go (off peak) hiking /walking, so freddie doesn't have to really meet other dogs.
Freddie is just a small bundle of energy, that truly deserves his own home.

23-04-20 UPDATE

How de everyone I've been in my foster home such a long time, and yes I love it in fact i love it so much I've been here twice. But I still dream of my very own home. I know I can be a real pain in the bottom, not liking every dog, not liking cats or other small furries, and some times having a moment of not liking my human. But I do try really hard. I can walk for hours or just a short walk, love playing ball, can do tricks but only for treats, I'm not that stupid. So if there is anyone out there who is now bored of this lockdown, and up for a bit of a challenge and excitement. But must have some experience of lovely , handsome, cute boys like me. Please fill in that form.
Love and licks Freddie x

01-07-20 UPDATE

Freddie says there is nothing better than a paddling pool on a hot day. Think we can all agree with that.

28-07-20 UPDATE
Freddie is such a character and would really love his own special home. This week he helped my granddaughter pick blueberries but he is only in contact with her when out on walks and she knows not to stroke him. I wouldn't trust him in the home, as that is where he has on a couple of occasions had issues with humans. So although he has met a child outside and was ok as she completely understood not to touch him, Freddie is looking for an adult only home.

ADOPTION DETAILS

All dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
