19-7-19 Penelope is a 6 year old cocker spaniel who has come to us from a breeder. This sweet girl needs a special home, she has arrived here unsure of what life has in store for her next so is a bit worried at the moment. Penelope has mammary lumps that our vet will look at and diagnose but we are still hopeful that someone will show this girl the love she truly deserves. Penelope walks well on a lead, approaches you for a fuss and even gives paw - what's not to love! Penelope has only ever known the company of other dogs so would be best homed with a kind resident dog to help her settle in and show her new skills like housetraining.

25-08-19 UPDATE
Darling Penelope has some sad news to share. When being spayed the vet found a large mass in her mammary area. The vet has removed this and all the surrounding tissue. There is a possibiity that it could return and if it does then her prognosis sadly guarded and her future is unsure. Penelope shouldn't be in a kennel. She should be on a sofa with someone to love her.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
